School Transport Rules

Welcome to our school’s transportation guidelines. These rules are designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all students who use school-provided transportation services. We kindly request all students and parents/guardians to adhere to these rules for a safe and efficient commute to and from school.

1. Punctuality is Key

– Arrive at your designated pickup point at least 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
– Buses will not wait for latecomers.

2. Behaviour Expectations

– Treat the driver, bus attendant, and fellow students with respect and courtesy.
– Sit quietly and remain seated while the bus is in motion.
– Keep the aisle clear at all times.

3. Safety First

– Always wear your seatbelt if provided.
– Make sure no part of your body is outside the bus window.
– Follow all safety instructions from the driver and bus attendant.

4. No Bullying or Harassment

– Bullying, teasing, or harassing other students will not be tolerated.
– Report any such incidents to the driver or school authorities.

5. Personal Belongings

– Keep your belongings in your backpack or on your lap to avoid blocking the aisle.
– School bags, sports equipment, or musical instruments should not obstruct walkways.

6. No Eating or Drinking

– Food and beverages are not allowed on the bus.
– Chewing gum is also prohibited.

7. Emergency Procedures

– Listen to the driver’s instructions in case of an emergency evacuation.
– Stay calm and orderly during evacuations.

8. Cleanliness

– Keep the bus clean and tidy.
– Dispose of trash in the provided receptacles.

9. Lost Items

– The school is not responsible for lost or stolen items on the bus.
– Check for your belongings before leaving the bus.

10. Parental Responsibility

– Parents/guardians are responsible for their child’s behaviour and punctuality.
– Communicate with the school and the transportation department regarding any concerns.

11. Special Needs Students

– Students with special needs will receive additional support and accommodations as necessary.
– Parents/guardians of special needs students should communicate their requirements to the school.

12. Route Changes and Delays

– Bus routes and schedules may change. Parents will be notified of any changes in advance.
– Be patient during delays due to traffic or weather conditions.

13. Consequences for Violations

– Violation of these rules may result in disciplinary action, including suspension from school transportation services.
