At DPS Nagaon, we maintain an optimal Teacher-to-Student Ratio of 1:20 to ensure individualized attention for each student. With around 20-25 students per class, this allows for personalized support, meaningful interaction, and effective engagement in the learning process.
We follow a Child-Centered approach, integrating both traditional and modern Teaching Methodologies. Our Curriculum focuses on Holistic Development, combining Conceptual Learning with Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving, and Hands-on Activities. We also incorporate Digital Tools and Interactive Methods to keep students engaged.
We offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, including Sports, Music, Dance, Art, Drama, Debate, and 5 Clubs (Khana Khazana, Gizmos & Gadgets, Logistics and Mastermind, Stage Craft and Conservatory). We believe in nurturing students’ talents outside the classroom, helping them develop skills, confidence, and leadership qualities.
Student safety is our top priority. The campus is monitored with CCTV cameras, and we have well-trained Security Personnel. Regular safety drills, a strict Visitor Policy, and Emergency Protocols ensure a secure environment. Additionally, our buses are GPS-enabled, and we have a medical facility with a trained nurse on campus.
DPS Nagaon is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including well-ventilated classrooms, modern science and computer Labs, a well-stocked Library, a Music and Art room, and a Multi-Purpose Auditorium. We also have Playgrounds, a sports complex, and specialized areas for co-curricular activities.
We follow the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) curriculum, which focuses on a balanced education that prepares students for Academic Excellence as well as life skills. The CBSE curriculum is known for its comprehensive and student-friendly approach.
We recognize that every student is unique, so we provide individualized attention through remedial classes, counseling, and Special Education Programs where needed. Our teachers are trained to cater to diverse learning styles and use differentiated instruction techniques to meet each student’s needs.
Our admission process typically includes an Entrance Assessment and an interaction with the student and parents. The Fee Structure is competitive and designed to offer value for the quality of education and facilities provided. We believe in maintaining open communication with parents. Regular parent-teacher meetings are held, and we also provide updates via the school’s App, which includes academic reports, attendance, and other important announcements. Additionally, we send out newsletters and notifications through SMS or email.
We promote a positive discipline policy, focusing on values such as respect, responsibility, and accountability. Minor issues are addressed through counseling and positive reinforcement, while more serious concerns are handled in a fair and consistent manner, in alignment with the school’s code of conduct. We have a Discipline Committee comprising 5 to 6 teachers. A teacher also serves as the Master of the Day (MOD) on a daily basis to maintain school discipline. Additionally, our School Prefectorial Team, consisting of student prefects, ensures discipline is upheld when the teacher is not present.
